What you need to start and run your own course.

Starting a course

  • Start by talking in your organisation. Find out what they'd like to know more about.
  • Identify how mobile or internet technology could help your members get better connected.
  • Nominate yourself or someone else to lead your organisation, and decide on a name you can use to rally the team.

Running a course

  • Decide who'll do the training. They should have a good understanding of the topic you want to cover and be prepared to learn more to help educate others.
  • Arrange and book a venue, and organise the equipment you'll need. Your grant could help cover some of these costs.
  • Promote your event and take bookings.
  • Get help! Mobilise a few volunteers to give you a hand.
  • You'll receive a comprehensive information pack in the mail to get you started. You'll also find additional tools and training material on this site. If there's anything else you think you need, contact us.
